Half-Full

Pink, red, mauve, crimson, scarlet, maroon, and garnet. What do these colors have in common besides shades of red? Well, they have been popularly known to be the colors you see on a flower called a rose. People used to say "Everything is coming up roses" when many things in their lives were working out great. They also used to say when you look at the world with rose colored glasses it meant you saw the brighter side of things. Looking at the world with rose colored glasses sure can paint a pretty picture. But this is only "half" of the story! When you begin to understand how to think in an optimistic, or more positive way you begin to see life's troubles and worries in a different light. This helps to open up a world "full" of colorful possibilities that you can share.

After a devastating heartbreak, a teen girl decides to spend her summer helping her eccentric great aunt manage her quaint Vermont inn--but this fixer-upper is hiding a magical secret--in this cozy and irresistable new fantasy from the New York Times bestselling author of The Spellshop.

Sixteen-year-old Calisa is desperate for a change of scenery after her lying ex ruins her perfect Brooklyn summer. When her parents suggest she head to rural Vermont to help her great-aunt run her cozy bed and breakfast for a few months, she jumps at the chance.

Twelve stories. Twelve months. Once chance to heal her heart...

When Tilly Nightingale receives a call telling her there’s a birthday gift from her husband waiting for her at her local bookshop, it couldn’t come as more of a shock. Partly because she can’t remember the last time she read a book for pleasure. Mainly because Joe died five months ago…
The gift is simple – twelve carefully-chosen books from Joe, one for each month, to help her turn the page on her first year without him.
Tilly sets out on a series of reading-inspired adventures that take her around the world. But as she begins to vlog her journey, her story becomes more than her own. With help from Alfie, the bookshop owner, her budding new following and her friends and family, can Tilly’s year of books show her how to love again?

Schoolyard rivalries. Baking disasters. Puffed sleeves. Explore the violet vales and glorious green of Avonlea in this spirited adaptation.

The magic of L.M. Montgomery’s treasured classic is reimagined in a whimsically illustrated graphic-novel adaptation perfect for newcomers and kindred spirits alike. When Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert decide to adopt an orphan who can help manage their family farm, they have no idea what delightful trouble awaits them. With flame-red hair and an unstoppable imagination, eleven-year-old Anne Shirley takes Green Gables by storm. Anne’s misadventures bring a little romance to the lives of everyone she meets: her bosom friend, Diana Barry; the town gossip, Mrs. Lynde; and that infuriating tease, Gilbert Blythe. From triumphs and thrills to the depths of despair, Anne turns each everyday moment into something extraordinary.

Why do buttercups glow when held beneath your chin? Why are bluebells known as fairy phones? Why are foxgloves sometimes given the ominous name ‘Deadman’s Bellows’? And what is the true meaning of a rose? Discover the fascinating folklore behind more than 40 of nature’s most beautiful flora and fauna, and learn how you can apply their timeless teachings to modern day life, and embrace the ritual of getting out into nature.
Often forgotten but always intriguing, humans have given meanings and stories to plants and flowers for thousands of years. From myths of Ancient Greek Gods who pecked out the eyes of anyone who moved the sacred but thorny Peony plant, to 19th century Victorian tales of superstition that saw flowers foreshadow love, life, and death, you’ll never look at bunch of flowers in the same way again!

The New York Times bestselling author illustrator of The Wonderful Things You Will Be creates an enchanting picture book about a child finding their "wild" self.

What would you do if you let the wild in?

Eleanor loved wild things.
Every wing and wild sprout.
There was somthing wild inside of her
that wanted to come out.
